Jason Douglas

Jason Douglas started acting at the age of eight with a Radio Shack tape recorder, a wild imagination, and too much unsupervised playtime. "My friends and I used to improvise action and sci-fi adventures on tape with KISS records playing in the background as our soundtrack," he admits. Jason eventually attended the University of Houston School of Theatre and throughout the 1990s was actively involved in the vibrant Houston theatre scene. In 1997, his stage work attracted the attention of what would become the largest distributor of Japanese Anime in North America, and his now prolific career as an anime voice-actor became the springboard for work in the commercial, industrial, and video game fields. A confident and articulate natural baritone, Jason offers strong character and comedic variations ranging from goofy nerd, fishing buddy, loveable-but-clueless husband, tragically hipster, and dynamic "movie trailer guy." He is especially at ease with complex technical jargon, particularly in the medical, petrochemical, and financial industries; clients have remarked that he makes their tough-to-read spec-heavy copy "easy to understand." In addition to his work as a Voice Actor, Jason is also a working professional actor on-screen, from industrial spokesperson to supporting and guest roles in major television and feature films including No Country for Old Men, Sin City, and Secondhand Lions.
